Ecurie 25 or P1??

I've been toying with the idea of using a hire company for a while now and the choice seems to boil down to Ecurie 25 or P1 cars.
Does anyone here have experience of either or both companies?
Some feedback would be useful in helping me decide.

Ecurie. Been a member for over a year now and can't fault it. It's about 60% of the cost of P1 as well when you work it out £/mile driven....

Another vote from me for ecurie25.

The team are super nice people, and when they aren't busy are more than happy to spend hours talking cars. And if something goes wrong with one of their cars they'll bend over backwards to get it fixed or you a replacement as quick as possible.

The fleet is excellent too and they change their cars quite regularly. There's a couple of really special cars due in 2008 so now is a good time to join.

For me it's the F430 Coupe despite the flappy paddle gearbox. Although this may be because I really put this car through it's paces around North Wales

They are fully insured to use in Europe.

And the Isle of Man.

Nah, prefer to spend the time in europe driving, go every year for a week and do the swiss/italian/austrian alps..this year 2000miles in 6 days, a lot of fun.

Just thinking a week in a gayardo would be a nice change from the noble, also the idea of trying out the other cars appeals.

But is it worth £10k...not sure, will have to do some thinking.

Also remember that these supercar hire clubs have a mileage limit. Ecurie25s is 4,500 miles so blowing 2,000 miles in less than a week is going to severely reduce the mileage you can do in the other cars with your remaining points.

Last year apart from the alps trip i did about 600 miles in the noble, so 4500 would be plenty.
Life just seems to keep getting in the way of me having fun (car related) at the mo.
Have not driven the Noble since september.
Reading my post, these clubs are starting to make sense...sell the Noble, with the savings in running costs, insurance, etc, would easily cover the cost of the membership for 4 years or so...Mmmm

That's exactly what I did. Except I told the Mrs that I was selling the Noble to pay for the moving costs on our new house.

I've been a member of ecurie25 since it started (on my 3rd year now), and I have nothing but praise for the company. Obviously, really, or i wouldn't have given them another £20,000!!!

The availability is great, they have a great selection of cars, and they're really nice petrolhead people who run it.

Go for it, i guarantee you won't be disappointed. Go to an open eneving there, that's the best idea. That way you get to see the cars, meet the people etc. I've been along to a couple of them just to meet other members...

Some interesting responses, coincidentally the car that Jeremyc listed as his favourite is the purchase choice I am wrestling with versus joining a car club.
I'm off to Tahoe for some r&r for ten days so I'll try and decide which way to go while away from the stress of business.
