Back in love again!

Just a tip to all those sports car owners who start getting slightly dis-interested in your car.

Don't drive it for 6-8 weeks.

I just did this, (not through choice, but through working too hard) and can reccomend it highly!

After about 7 weeks spent sitting in my garage, she fired up instantly and purred like normal, I let her warm for 60 seconds and she reversed out of the drive with no issue and felt totally sorted all the way up to operating temp.

Then I unleashed hell and that "Noble Grin" returned to my face for the next 40 minutes or so.

I had been thinking about selling her, but have put off these thoughts again for the forseable future.



I love my Noble again.


ps. I can also recommend going out on A048 semi slicks when its cold and damp on the roads. Great fun

Know what you mean. Got back from a month in the BVI yesterday - took mine out and loved it.

Had it "somewhat" sideways during an overtake though when I hit a patch of diesel. Easily controlled though so more fun than frightening.

Fully undertand the feeling. It happens to me every April when it comes out of hibernation. It does make for a long winter though. That's why I keep it out of reach.

It's the standard Viper Steel Grey/Blue (the new black to many). It was used on Viper's a few years ago.

Come on the 12th instead with MLR, overtaking only on straights is rubbish, open pitlane and far more relaxed.

Overtaking on the corners at Spa speeds? No thanks. Had a couple of moments in the Blanchimont bit with traffic last year. Not very amusing with a wall only a short distance away at well into three figures. Almost drove though a 964RS climbing out of Eau Rouge too and had to drive up the inside escape tarmac. I think rules are good. At Spa at least.

You'd be supprised - everyone seems much more sensible, overtaking cars' responsibility to pass safely and it works really well, no one gets frustrated with slower cars that refuse to move over like on UK days so no one makes unsafe lunges.

Been loads of times with them now and only recall one incident a few years back when I had an Evo move over on me as I was passing him on the right out of Eau Rouge so I just moved over the curbs, overtook him on the pit exit to his right and carried on. No different to the incidents you get on UK track days when invariably a car you are overtaking does something unexpected once in a while (like nail the brakes before you have moved out for an overtake).
