GTO-3R Mods/Upgrades for road use only

Guys,
A lot of talk in several threads about upgrades, these seem to be aimed at tracking the car, which a lot of people do.
If, you don't want to track your car, ( and no comments please ), but just want a fast road car, then what do you suggest.
In my opinion, these cars are fast enough in a straight line on the road, but are they good enough to carry that speed into the corners, after all this is where most people "bottle" it, also, are the brakes up to it.
I know of some awesome roads to drive, and would just like a car set-up so as to enjoy them to the max.
If you think that for the road these cars want very little doing then fine, but I'm sure something can be tweeked.

On the Road
Driver training, the right tyres, better headlights for safety.
New intercooler (maintains performance better as it heats up especially in warm weather - I wish), fuel pump & loom (safeguards cylinders 5 & 6)
Lots of guys have gone for suspension mods about which I know little.... someone will be along in a minute!

Nobles are just awesome road tools. I've tracked mine a couple of times, but I bought it as a road car, and that is what it will allways be (for me). When you've got your own one you'll know what needs doing (if anything) soon enough, we all drive differently so all need different things changed. A Noble is capable of going around any corner at dangerous speeds, but this is where/when accidents happen. IMHO a Noble does not need to be improved in the performance area for the road, but an upgraded exhaust can give a lot more torque to an engine making it easier and more pleasurable to drive. The things I would change from standard are intercooler and dump valve. The intercooler (with fan/s) to help keep temps down , and the BOV to keep the turbo spinning (and it sounds good too
) Some would say an uprated fuel pump/wiring too, but if you need them then you should be on track.
All the above IMHO.

GTO-3R is an excellent road car (actually better than the M400). I would leave suspension and brakes well alone if you have no intention of going on track; they are both set-up perfectly for the road. Exhaust - I would change this on any Noble. Intercooler and Bov, as others have said, would be a reasonable mod and I would also throw in cooling mod to central tunnel. This keeps the front turbo alot cooler and allows you to open the window in summer without getting all the hot air from around the front turbo sucked back into the cabin.
But don't dismiss the thought of doing a trackday. You don't have to hooligan the car to within an inch of it's (and your) life. You can just go round at your own pace and really enjoy driving your car fast, safely and legally. Which you simply cannot do on the road

Brilliant feedback, keep it coming.
As for these mods/up-grades, which ones are DIY and which are best left to people that know what they are doing.

A Noble, in stock form, can far exceed the capabilities of Her Majesty's roads to keep said car on the road.
'Mods' for the road should be as outlined above. BOV and Intercooler both help with keeping things up to power, exhaust enables greater torque for easier driving. After that HID lights help at night.

1) Driver training.
2) New intercooler.
3) BOV
4) More driver training.
5) Exhaust, bigger fuel pump and wiring loom. (should all be done at once, very dangerous not too, you can melt cylinders 5 and 6 otherwise)
6) Re-map on a rolling road. This ideally should be done before and after the new zorst is fitted, so all can be made to run spot on for your cars individual needs.
7) Track it!! You know thats what these things are for.

Sorry for the slight hi-jack here steve but i would like a bit more info about this fuel pump upgrade and wiring... what wiring and why? also what pump? can we use a walbro straight off ebay or is it a specific one? Steve i am currently doing some upgrades which include a blitz controller so i can keep an eye on oil temp and pressure, BoV, Exhaust, Hid headlamps, and gonna fit a draw fan to the intercooler, oh and inflatable sideskirts if last summer is anything to go by!!
