Too much torque to put down, crappy rev range, the noise of a vacuum cleaner behind you, the weight of 1.5x petrol engines, and wtf is the point in going for fuel efficiency in a sports car?!!?

I hate it! The v10 petrol will have more than enough torque (especially if they turbo it), and it will rev. This is just a pointless marketing lead effort. A bit like their lemans cars.

Here's another one...this time from Mitsubishi

Under the skin is the latest Evo X (That means 10, Greg), but under the bonnet is a 2.2 turbo diesel.

Yes, but they told the ACO they would only continue racing if the organisers skewed the rules to the diesels benefit. The ACO acquiesced. What does working to a looser set of rules compared to the petrol cars prove? Amusingly the Porsche Spider nearly beat Audi in the ALMS series this year. That's an LMP2 petrol car lol.

But when will they bring the spider to LM any why haven't they done so yet ? ! Is it because it wouldn't last ? The Audi/Peugot battle will be a good one this year.

Forget the diesel ! Bring on the hydrogen !!!

Maybe because it was in the early stages of development at LM time last year? It should be running this year :fingerscrossed:

yum

ok, not quite 750 lb ft, but my 3R is putting out 630 BHP / 500 lb ft, so I look forward to a run against an R8 sometime soon ...........

Beyond that in the flesh, I can say the front overhang looks like too much, and front wheel placement looks too far back from the nose. I am sure it handles well, but in profile it is a bit odd looking ...
