Be aware that, depending on how the South African gentleman was feeling on the day he assembled your M12, the run and length of your hoses will be variable.
I was lucky enough to notice a leak before it broke my engine recently and it came down to a split in the long heater hose rubbing onto the bottom of the engine casing. This is very hard to spot due to it being encased inside the bottom plates - the only clue was a loss of coolant.
As all M12's are getting to be 2-5 years old now it would be wise to get those pesky bottom plates off for a full inspection a.s.a.p. BTW, the dealer charge to change this was over £400 due to the labour - a good case for DIY!

recently replaced all of mine for silicon ones as a few had show signs of being perished.
in my view if the car is more than 2 years old you should concider doing this

The one who did mine obviously was having an off day. Planted the hoses right up against the gear linkage mechanism, so guess what? It wore a ruddy great hole in one of them. The water temp guage was not alot of help - but the cabin filling with steam was a bit of a give away. So anyone replacing theirs just make sure that the hoses are well away from any moving parts.I was lucky enough to notice a leak before it broke my engine recently and it came down to a split in the long heater hose rubbing onto the bottom of the engine casing. to get the hoses out you dont need to take the whole floor off, there are two inspection covers under the car along the line of the tunnel, takes these off and you will be able to get the old hose out and the new one in.
10m of hose should allow you to change all the 10mm stuff

I would definitely second that. I fixed 5 different small leaks last week at the turbos and radiator and all it seems to have done is restored the pressure (at a guess) in the system and now I can hear coolant fizzing out of what is probably the 4m long one going under the car.Gassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
