Sean,

I took the pads out of mine this week to try and find the part no for the same reason but none were visible. I'd put the fronts back in before a mate suggested drawing round the out line of the pad and faxing this to a company he uses for competiton brakes/pads as he rackons they'd be able to identify the right ones from that. I measured the radial depth of the friction material of the rears and this was approx 55mm. Going by the info on www.gto3.com that would make the part no. for the rears CP6600D55. I haven't had time to go back in check the fronts but when I do I'll post up another reply.

Graeme

Just checked the box in the garage, same code as above...thought they were front pads...not sure now...

just found this on the us forums

Derek,

Any Ferodo dealer in the US should be able to supply you with either DS2500's (Noble Track Pads) or DS3000 (hard use pads) as I don't think the supply is exclusive to AP in the States. You need a pad suitable for AP CP6600 calipers with a pad depth of 46MM (rear) or 55mm (front). There is also a 50mm variety which may be requried dependant on spec.

Part Numbers are:
CP6600D46 - 46MM Rear Caliper
CP6600D55 - 55MM Front Caliper
CP6600D50 - 50MM If required.

EBC also supply "Red-Stuff" pads suitable for the CP6600 caliper but I would recommend against them, Mintex supply the new C-Tech variant of the 1144 & 1155 material in a pad suitable for the CP6600 but I must stress we haven't tested this yet so unfortunately can't comment on its suitability.

Best Regards
Matt

Just been and checked the front pads. Strangley they're dimensionally the same as the rears (I was expecting the radial dimension of the friction material to be different) Pads are stamped with the AP logo so cross matching with Ferodo p/no is not that apparent. I'll make some 'phone calls in the morning and see if I can get some more definite answers.

Did anyone find out what the part number for the rear pads was or where to get them. THe front pads seem pretty easy to get hold of as they are the same as the Clio V6. Also has anyone tried the Mintex C-tech?

Cheers

Sean

taken from an old post of mine .. the number for the front pads is below , but I don't know about the rears

if you find out , can you put them on nobleparts please ?

"Slightly back on topic on price for the DS2500's

I ordered mine from Plans and they were around 105 quid if i remember rightly.

The box came with the Ferodo part number FRP3083H, which if you have a look on the web seem to cost around 70 quid inc VAT"

no i havnt been able to find a ferodo part number for the rears.

my local dealer in germany can supply the fronts from the above ferodo number at a pretty decent price.

would dearly like to get the rear part numbers so i could put a price together for a full set.

would be willing to put together a group buy if i can get the numbers sorted out, reckon the prices would be pretty cheap compared to uk as 1) base price here is cheaper and 2) i wont have to pay tax on the price either.

i just need soem one to confirm rear part number

Why not the EBC Reds?

I find them fine and easily available.

Are EBC any good compared to DS2500 or pagid?

I`m after pads that are excellent for road use mainly so will probably for the pagid RS29s, what are these like compared to the EBC pads?

I wouldn't use EBC to be honest, I've changed from them onto the Mintex Extreme pads and the difference is huge. Much more bite and pedal feel, only downside is squeaking at very low speed when cold.....encourages you to warm them up a bit though!

That's everything that was on the pad, hope it helps.

Interested to see how these pads perform. I had DS2500 in my skyline 33gt and loved them. I put them in because i was taking the skyline to the nurburgring.

Tested the original brakes and only managed about 5 minutes of hard driving before I overshot an exit with considerable fade.

Ended up changing fluid and disks. The disks were standard size but drilled with thinner side walls to accommodate larger central venting.

With this setup i could get do 1 and 3/4 laps of the nurburgring before fade set in. The next year i added lots of cooling but no change in results. The disks were miles too small for that car being heavy and the baby to the gtr and I've had smoke poring out of them to everyones amusement while waiting to come off the track.

The car got round the ring in 9.15 bridge to bridge, and is 250bhp standard with only exhaust air filter and inter cooler mods and not that quick, oh and complete change of suspension. Couldn't get passed gt3s they were faster on the straights but sat on their arse while braking and cornering.

I've gone for ferodos again as i like the feel. The present noble pads I've used seem to bite all of a sudden which i find unnerving and braking is where i want confidence.

Will report back once I've got them fitted on the noble.

Have you just had these pads fitted recently? It looks like you have the same type Front & Rear. I've got 2 new sets of the same out in the garage and the 3 digit number looks like a batch number. when I took the pads out of mine to check the wear the Front & Rear sets looked like the same radial depth of friction material (55mm)so I don't know if the wrong set were fitted to the rear as GTO3.com info lists 46mm pads for the rear.
