OK, as many people know, the late M400 6 speed gear linkage was the best by far. But has not been available from the factory for about 6 months.

Noble have no intention of having any more made.

With very many thanks to Alex Stetzl, i am having 5 kits manufactured using his kit as the master.

The kit will consist of:

Ford gear lever assembly, modified ready to fit.
4 laser cut / CNC folded / powder coated brackets
2 OEM quality cables
2 laser cut aluminium bell cranks
Goodridge Firesleeve
All nuts, bolts, washers, spacers etc.
Fitting plans and instructions.

Alex's cables show signs of heat damage, so, unlike the factory kit, my kits will include lengths of Goodridge Firesleeve to protect them from the heat from the front turbo. Interestingly enough, the 1G Racing build manual clearly shows the cables wrapped in Firesleeve.

To reitierate, this is a complete kit, identical in quality to the Noble kit.

Price supply only including delivery within the UK - £650.00

Supplied and fitted in my workshops in Yorkshire - from £1095.00

First kit is for me, 2nd is sold, so 3 kits available. Delivery is expected within next 30 days.

To secure, please add your name here, and i will PM buyers for a 50% deposit to secure.

Does this linkage really make a huge difference to the standard M12 linkage?
I've not driven an M400 so cannot make the comparison.

I am interested but only if it's really worth it in the long run.

Because the factory told me, Plans told me, Kerridges told me and several well known owners here have all said its not available. In fact, it was John at Plans who very proudly told me they bought the last one about 6 months ago!

I had Ray West 'Tweak' the linkage on your car when I had it - which made it much better, however I did drive an M400 with a view to see if it was worth the 1500 quid or so to have the linkage fitted and although it is a great improvement I didn't think it was worth it at the time - however if you like tinkering (which I think you do!) then I think 650 quid might be worth it esp. if it includes details on how to fit.

cheers

If you go by what the factory/Dealers qoute, then the linkage is 700 quid, ( still available ), and it takes between 18-20 hours to fit, on their labour rates it makes it a very expensive mod.
Well worth doing it yourself if you have the knowledge and facilities, or some nice mates to help.
And plenty of the black stuff.drinkdrinkdrink

Steve.

Or as Peter has posted above, get him to fit it £1100 all in compared to around £2700 all in from a dealer...call me old fashioned but that seems like a good deal
I have seen Peters work and will happily let him work on my car (as I have done).
As for it being a 18-20 hour job.....

Hi Peter,

I'm very interested in this please. As you know, I've been thinking about doing this for a while and I think its the only thing left on my car to do to make it a great 3R. Just never really thought it was worth £2500 or so from Kerridges. £1000 though is a different matter.

I would like to have a chat over the weekend though maybe before committing fully.

Thanks,
Greg
