Trickle charging into the accessory socket?
Discussion
I've been trickle-charging sucessfully direct to the battery with my CTEK Zafir90 charger. To make it easier, I just fitted a connector to plug directly to the in-dash accessory socket and the charger goes haywire (lights flashing). Clearly there is a device or voltage between the socket and the battery but what?
I know that numerous others here have posted that they connect directly to the socket with no problems.

mine si also fine plugged into socket.
youve not got doors open have you? thus interior light pulling current
No Sean, key out of ignition and doors closed. I've never played with the wiring to the socket from new so something else must be affecting the circuit. Tried connecting directly to the battery again - perfect! youve not got doors open have you? thus interior light pulling current

or does the socket still work? Fuse etc due to large charge current.
