Ok so here the situation.

On sat afternoon im driving happily down the A127 in leigh on sea. fairly medium/heavy traffic its a dual carriage way with 40 MPH limit. Im in the outsise of the 2 lanes where there is a right hand turn lane to my right with a Q of traffic around 10 cars long i guess. i am doing around 30/35 mph past this not going mad (had the wife with me) when im about 30 ft from the middle cars one decides they will pull back onto the main carriageway infront of me. eek i hit the brakes and lock up slidding to a halt about 1ft away. while checking my mirror to see if the van behind can/has stopped in time also and having my thumb on the horn. now there is a huge cloud of smoke from the tyres. The women in the car just laugh and continue on there way. Luck would have it the company name is on the back of the car and its one of my customers. The car is fine BUT it now defo has very slight flat spots on the tyres. The reason for the post is i will shortly be calling the said company to launch a complaint about them. should i press for some new front tyres?

Surely you have a huge amount of leverage is the company is a customer of yours?

Give it to them!!!!

They have a duty of care to other road users and she was failing to exercise it.

I am sure they will see sense and arrange to get you some new tyres as a goodwill gesture.

Clearly you have a number of options the primary one being to report her for careless driving which will bring the Company into disrepute, which they will not want.

Makes me wonder what these people are thinking when they do this and laugh with 'Wizzo Chemicals' plastered down the side.

Do they also have the "How's my Driving" sticker? Thats also a good reporting opportunity.

Did anyone see on the news about the CEO of Ladbrokes ( I think it was ) and BA ? BA would not let his daughter onboard a plane she had a ticket for so he's instructed the whole of Ladbrokes to use an alternative to BA ( of whom they spend millions of pounds a year with ). Brillant - that's what to do when a company pisses you off !!

We are so fed up with rail fares that we are looking at holding meetings in Peterborough rather than London and save about two thirds off the fares and a similar amount off the cost of meeting rooms.

Now imagine if all the big companies do this?

Last year me and the missus went to the US for our holiday and asked the travel agent what was the alernative to BA ? The travel agent was amazed that we did not want to go with BA. "Why not ?" they asked. Because they are crap and always on strike, that's why not ! was the reply they got. I love voting with my wallet !!

Did the same (well probably less) My company spends about 1/4 Million a year with various airlines.

BA's customer service was knowingle and self ackmowledgedly cr4p to me.

They've gone from first choice to coice of last resort. It's the only way to get them to hear (though they probably still won't).

Yeah, because fraud is the way forward. No wonder everyone's insurance is so high with dishonest tts everywhere.

Nathan

That was a joke!

Given who I work for Insurance fraud would be the last thing I would advise anyone to do.
