Advice fitting Proalloy Intercooler Upgrade
Discussion
I have removed the intercooler box, drilled out the rivets and removed the standard Intercooler.
I now need to cut the box to allow the wider Intercooler to fit.
The instructions are very basic and I am worried about cutting in the wrong place.
The instructions say:
"place square inside mounting platform and scibe 90 degree lines vertically as guides for cutting 170mm in from lower rear part of the vertical panels."
The floor of the intercooler mounting box is not flat as the piece towards the front of the car slopes upwards at 15 degrees or so.
I have put a square inside on the larger rear part of the intercooler box floor and have measured the 170mm from the front corner of the box (where the small slope meets the front of the mount) parallel to the rear floor where the square is fitting.
Does anyone know if my method is correct, I don't want to cut the box incorrectly.
Any help appreciated. May be worth speaking on the phone.
Regards
Andrew
