In the nearly 5 years that I've had my GTO3, I've occasionally wondered what my mpg is. I finally got round to recording it on my trip down to Le Mans this year. For what it's worth:

Staffordshire to Dover, 269 miles, driving very conservatively, partly through choice, partly from congestion on M6, M42, M25: 40.76 mpg!!!

Boulogne to Autoroute services (can't remember where), 221 miles, driving 75 - 85: 26.95 mpg

Services to Meon, south of Le Mans,(+ bit of local driving) 205 miles, driving a bit faster on Autoroute (occasional blasts up to 1.5 units)and decent local roads, 23.16 mpg.


My overall consumption for the round trip was just over 29 mpg.

I had loads of time to get down to Dover and the Speedferry, so made a conscious decision to take it steady and have a bit more fun on the other side of the Channel. The nearer I got to Le mans, the heavier the right foot was getting, wanting to sit down and get a few ciders down.

Only saw one other Noble, parked up at St Saturnine - red M400. Anyone on here? Can't recommend the 'Great British Welcome' too highly, Austin Healey last year, Ferrari this time - all sorts of old and new but pride of place probably went to the half dozen Reliants.

Highly respectible numbers - especially bearing in mind the grinnage factor.

I reckon I get 22 on average. I remember the dealer I bought it from telling me he took one on a very conservative run and got over 40 - which I thought was a load of cobblers but by your calculates it looks like I was doing him an injustice.

Hi Bernie, I was at St Saturnin too and spoke to the driver(Tom) who has only had the car a few weeks. Only saw one more Noble, another red one, was that yours?

Hi Bob. Yes, mine was the red one parked up on the main car park. Got to St Saturnin quite early. Always amazed at the interest in the Noble, even Gendarmerie, customs and Peage. The black DBS was stunning - what were you driving?

Just seen this ,Yes,Tom took my old 480bhp m400 down to the 24hr just a couple of weeks after buying it !

understand he got there and back without major incident!

Nothing! I was a passenger in a 1928 Lagonda Tourer which left Suffolk to take part in the Drivers
Parade on Friday. Entry into the parade car parking area near the catherdal,mingling with the supercars,
Veyron,Zonda,Koenigsegg,Porche GT,GT40,Gumpert and many others.Up close with the racing drivers,our car was for Aston Martin 007 drivers,Frenzen,Piccini and Wendlinger. Fantastic.
One problem. Major problem. bd car broke down near Clelmsford and we had to continue in his Skoda! Obviously not used in the parade but everything else happened including evening dinner with the parade organisers.
