Few questions before potential plunge.

I noticed that you can get a 4/5 year old noble these days for about 25k, and having contemplated tvr's (not happy about running costs etc) I thought I would research into one of these.

I would envisage only doing 5k a year, can anyone give me advice on servicing intervals and costs?

Also are there any stupid extras like engine rebuilds the are extremely common on the TVR?

What kind of MPG would you expect on a motorway?

Iknow most will prob think...if you're bothered about mpg, servicing costs etc, you shouldn't be looking for one of these... It's not a money issue, more wanted a general idea what to expect.

I suppose as with any car you could buy a lemon, but on the whole I think probably people would rate the Noble's reliability way over the TVR. As an example, my engine was checked in April after 5 years of use and it was apparently still in very good condition, so a rebuild is not necessarily your main worry.

If you break anything major then expect a big bill, otherwise the servicing etc. can be quite reasonable if you stay clear of some of the bigger names. Service every 6000 miles/1 year, whichever comes first.

Rebuilds only common on speed six engine.Drive both, totaly diffrent.TVR V8 good fun,not to hard on the pocket.Five years of speed six, dig deep.Two weeks of Noble M400, so no comment on cost.If you do buy TVR speed six don't try and keep up with a M400.

I assume you know Noble engines were build by Noble Motorsport (no relation) in Chesterfield? They'll service it for you.
