I may have managed to get myself a 3L exhaust for my 2.5, what is needed to get this to fit cats forward?

I've just got the car exactly how I want it so don't want to yet spend on a new free flowing exhaust before people say I should go that option.

think you will also need the cats my friend.ive just got a full m4oo exhaust to put on mine.many thanks andrew.i believe after talking to noble msports the 2.5 cats are different.to fit the 400 to mine one of the turbo to cat holes (there are five] is slightly off centre due to the differnt turbos fitted.then you will need 6 gaskets from the cats .i bought mine from noble msports and to be honest are a poor fit.all 8 cost 80 pounds delivered

I was thinkin that I could cut the flange off the 2.5 exhaust and weld it onto the 3l?

To save yourself some time and hassle if you want you can have my 3R exhaust with cats etc. I still have it after my Roush upgrade and I'm not going to be using it on my car now.

Let me know if it's any use and you could perhaps pick it up next time you're in Leicester.

From memory you have to put a large "dent" in one of the 3R pipes on a 2.5l to get it to fit around a chassis member.
