1/18 scale Noble M12 Model Car - prototype pics
Discussion
Hi there,
I am pleased to bring you the first pictures and details of this great new model that I am currently developing. It is a high quality 1/18 scale Resin model of the Noble M12 GTO.
The pictures below are of the first prototype which has recently been completed. It is a little rough around the edges, but the first production model is currently in build and will be ready in approx 2 weeks. This model will be painted in Ford Panther Black and will be built to a professional standard.
I am planning on making two different versions of the car. The first will be a standard production run of approx 100 models all finished in the same colour (probably Silver or Metallic Blue). All of the models will be sealed (i.e no opening doors or engine) but will have fully detailed interiors. They will be mounted on a wooden base with a plexiglass cover to stop the model getting dusty. I have set the retail price of these at £99.99.
The second version will be a bespoke model made to the customers exact requirements and as such will enable the customer to choose exterior colour, interior colour and registration number. Effectively a 1/18 scale replica of your real car (if you are lucky enough to own a Noble). These models again will be supplied on a wooden base with the plexiglass cover, but will also have a plaque detailing the model specification. The retail price of these models will be around £149.99.
I am currently accepting deposits from people interested in owning one of these superb models and hopefully more details and pictures of the production model will follow in the next couple of weeks.

I am also currently retooling one of the moulds to enable me to make models of the GTO 3-R, although these will probably not be ready until November.
Please e-mail me at sales@mad4models.com if you have any questions or are interested in ordering one of these models.

Jim,
Many thanks for your reply.
The model has been offered by the factory previously but it was very expensive (around £300.00 as I recall). I have taken the existing moulds and am in the process of retooling the moulds so that the model is better detailed and can be built in larger numbers.

I'll have a "personalised" one. Piccies are at www.lotus-elise.org.uk/noble - and yes, I have a carbon fibre rear wing.
