Parts prices....getting stupid now!!

Phoned a dealer for a set of 4 (zeus) fastners for the front clam...£109.22
Now I am sorry but that is taking the p*ss. This rant is not at the dealer but at the factory. Less than 2 years ago these were less than £8 each..so a price hike of around 300%.
Off to nobleparts to find alternative.

Minor point - It's a Dzus fastener not Zeus

Demon Tweeks do the equivalent as do Merlin Motorsport. They are a standard fitting so no need to pay those sort of rip off prices.

Thanks Paul, any chance of a code or spec, as I have had a quick look and there is quite a choice regarding stud length, grommot size etc.

I think that they are dreaming at £100 a set, we use a similar item called a Dzus on a peice of equipment at work. I have contacted my supplier to see if they can source the right bit of kit.

I did Steve, also need the rest of it as i cut the old ones out my clam for the respray. Do you have the code for them?

I saw the same kind of fastners on a kit car the other day - you had to use a special key to open them instead of a screwdriver. I want them.

these are more realistically priced


i went to see some sidecar racing at snetterton and the fasteners on the body came loose, the bike span out of control and the passenger was killed ! make sure they work before you change them over

i suggest fitting two at a time

They look like zinc and pas I think youll need to find some stainless ones

If you go onto the Skybolt web-site you will see them, the codes are: SK40S5-7S for the stud, and SK215-4 for the receptacle.
I bought 8 of each, cost me £84 all in.
