On the way to DaddySumo's for Fighting Torque and I hit a Fox at 4.30am at about 70ish.
I'm glad it happend so quick, if I had of had a enough time to react I may of hit the brakes to hard and hurt myself and car quite bad as it was wet and cold and I probably would have spun!
Can't get the clam all the way up at the mo.
Is this a new clam?
Up right over other side of impact (drivers side)

Been to see a local garage who I have used before, asseor is coming Wednesday. If its repaired then I want the front resprayed as I don't want laqure lines that may start to show up after months of polishing
The guy says it would be hard to blend it in anyway with all the chips on the front. I think he will go for a clam but then to save the insurance money agree for front fix and whole front respray. I don't want new clam as its hard to get them to fit correctly, seen a few done and they don't sit right!
As it was so dark, didn'tsee what happened to the fox but I'm sure he continued under the car!

oh crap
thats a simple repair - they will remove the clam and layer sheets of fibreglass behind to build up the strength - then they will use a drill to drill the end of the crack and then fill it with a special filler - smooth it down and respray (you can even buy the stuff from halfords !!)
if they decide on a new clam - do you want to sell the old one ?
i hit a deer mamy years ago in my fiesta - it rolled over the bonnet and lay there looking at me for a few moments before it ran off !! very strange (made a right mess of the bonnet)
