Ihad to remove the downpipe on my m400 to remove the blown gasket, i noticed one of the studs had sheared leaving me with 4, thinking this was ok i used high temp silicone gasket sealant to seal it and on tightening the last nut up the stud sheared (my fault), now left with 3 i need some advice as to the best course of action, i assume its remove the turbo completely and have the remains of said studs drilled out and re-tap the holes but if anyone has a better idea please share,
Thanks again

Yep -have to remove and replace studs -need all 5. As stated in previous thread, my advice is not to use a gasket between turbo and downpipe.
Hi Rob, i tried bolting it together without any gasket sealant but i could feel it blowing, used the high temp silicone and its fine, very sticky stuff!
cheers
