Follow-up, M12 tyres

Many thanks to everyone for the tyre advice and opinions.

I need to check something, though. The lady at Pirelli told me that M12s have been tested and approved with P-Zero Corsas (Original Equipment), but not Rossas. The Corsas are directional asymmetrics ("handed" - mirror-image treads, as I understood it), whereas the Rossos aren't. (btw, the right Rossos for the rears are apparently MO type, i.e. Mercedes.) She seemed to think I would be better off with the Corsas, but these are a b***er to find here (no joy yet) and, I've heard, not as good in the wet as Rossos (and it rains a lot here...) I know this might be manufacturer-speak for 'don't blame us if you crash', but... has anyone had any dodgy experiences with Rossos? On the other hand, has anyone had any squeaky moments with Corsas?

This leaves another obvious question - are the Eagles directional asymmetrics, or not?

Corsa's are a nightmare in standing water.
I dont like the rosso's
Eagles are assametric (spelling) not directional, and quite a few people seem very happy with them, good in the wet as well.

The have been more than one Corsa + wet = crash on here. If there's any depth to the water even at slow speeds you're a passenger...

The original equipment tyres for the M12 were Bridgestone SO3's. There was much talk five years ago but the factory were adamant that after hours of testing these tyres suited the M12 best for most conditions.
However,after about two years Bridgstone annouced that they were discontinuing the SO3 and after further testing the factory decided that the Pirelli P Zero ROSSO was now their recommended choice
for the M12. (note, not for the M400)

I think the "factory testing" was Simon H driving an M12 shod with the rosso's and thinking these are ok.

The Eagle's are newish, and have won quite a few tyre tests recently.

Speak to the Noble factory, they were very helpful when the Corsa's were unavailable earlier in the year. FWIW, they recomended Rosso's( but a particular version I believe) and for me/M400 ( No track work)they've been fine .Better wear rate it appears,quieter, less harsh and nowhere near as scary on my limited talent. If you're tracking though there maybe better options.

I've put F1 assymetricals on mine and find them excellent. Don't run much in the rain but really good in the dry with progressive slip when you want some fun.

Going from my own experience (several times over the past 4 years, they've never been anything less than extremely helpful,(and always rung me back if requested), whether it be about particular cars,specs,parts or just advice.
