Well, this month is my 4th anniversary 
In four years I've had to replace 4 ball joints and a tail light bulb...the only other work that has been needed was to weld up the exhaust bracket (twice) and keep filling it with petrol, oil and water, with a change of tyres at 2 1/2 years. I know that 19k in 4 years isn't much but hey, it's my baby

wel today is two month anerversary of my noble, as its new to me i have had it out at every opp, tho in two months the wipers crossed over, blowing a maxi fuse cutting out the car at trafic lights in the pissing rain, the car fills with waster from the road when it rains, sucked out two buckets of water, the alarm goes off when it feels like it, now the drivers door lock has given up the gost, i was driveng down the roat at 12 in the nite thursday,got a slight hesitation then the car cut out, brakeing down for the second time, found fault with the four fues in engine bay, yesterday i went to check the oil level and the dipstick snapped cleen off in the tube, the drivers door has dropped, and to top it off the car went up in smoke today as a water hose to the turbo split breaking down for the third time, not to mention the noise every now and then that i get from the relise bearing, i have owned a few performance car and this is by far the most unrilible by far, i have owned an escort cosworth for 4 year that i tuned myself to over 400 bhp and that never once let me down and is acutuly faster than my noble, tho its the way the noble handels that puts the smile on your face and makes it all see worth it, hope the rest of the year goes better!!!
Jesus, that's real bad trouble you've had. Mine's a 2.5, I've had the gearbox out for a clutch slave cylinder & did the obvious upgrades at the same time. Otherwise a new alternator, tyres and the usual exhaust manifold leaks. But you're right, there's something about the way the car handles that makes it all worth it. The easiest way of looking at it is, that it goes with the territory - a race car would be the same and that's what you bought! Only difference is that its street legal.As for the Cossie, you can keep upgrading the engine of that sort of motor, but it will never be a Noble.
That is bad luck, I've done 6k miles in mine (now on 24k) the only failure I've had (and that has been in the last week) is the rev counter bulb has blown! I've serviced the car every 2k which has shown up no problems although the front brakes squeal like hell if used in town a lot.
