Valet

Recently had a bad fuel smell and basically fuel had mixed with water in the under tray and ate throu the seal and got into the carpets.

I have sealed it all up and sorted it all but the carpets although rinsed and air dryed still smell, I have tried odour products but its still there.

Does anyone think a Valet would sort this out and does anyone know of a good one down south.

Would it not be cheaper to just replace the carpet, I have just got enough carpet to do the whole car from Martyn cost is probably less than the valet.
Easy to do, as it is just glued in. Use the old as templates.

Agree with Alex, also when you take the carpet out put a fan-heater in there for a few hours (on low setting) to really dry out the moisture.

if its fuel - it should evaporate quite quicky

are you sure its still not leaking or fumes are geting in the cabin ?





you could always set fire to the carpets - that should burn the fuel off
