Speedo wiring?

I've had the car off the road for a while now for one reason or another.
During that time I've re-worked the wiring loom, moving everything to the firewall behind the drivers seat inside the cabin.
Somehow I mislaid the notes I took when I removed the dash.
I've got all the instruments working apart from the speedo.
This is how the speedo is currently connected:
Green - Brown to speed sensor
Black - Blue to speed sensor
White/Black - Black to speed sensor
Red/White - Instrument Lights
Red -
Brown/White -
Green/Purple -
Purple/Red -
Now I'm pretty sure there should be a +ve power supply and an earth in amongst that lot somewhere.
It's just a case of where?
Does anyone know which is which?

That should have the info you need.
You wouldn't believe just how helpful that manual has been!! That should have the info you need.

I also had the engine and gearbox out to fit a new clutch plate.
Unfortunately the electrical chapter doesn't go into enough detail about the wiring into the tacho or the speedo.
The issue I have is with the multiconnector into the back of the speedo itself.

if you grab hold of the connector which plugs into the speedo and follow the loom down away from the speedo it joins up with the noble factory loom which complies then to the colours in the build manual.
if i remember correctly from when i fitted my defi display which connects to speed probe the join of speedo sub loom to noble loom is at the steering colum somewhere.

I looked at this some time ago when I had intermittent problems with my speedo readings, here is some info I used.
On the back of the speedo the wires are used for the following:
o Green Wire – live feed to the speedometer
o Black Wire – earth (ground) connection
o Brown/Slate Wire – Only to be connected if you wish the LCD Odometer to be visible with ignition off. If required connect to a live feed.
o Red/White Wire – power for the speedometer lamp, connect to a dash lighting power feed.
o Red Wire - (i) only needed if using a hall effect sensor, connect to a live feed.
(ii)If using a quenched oscillator sensor connect this red wire to the ground.
o White/Black Wire – connection for speed signal input from the hall effect sensor or Electronic Control Unit or Magnetic sensor using a reed switch.
o Red/Blue Wire – connection for speed signal input from a magnetic proximity sensor.
o LightGreen/Purple Wire –not used, in this application.
Connection details relating to the Noble are:
