guys, what would you estimate the cost of replacing the floor panels with new panels and re-sealing to be at your various dealers? Thanks!

I personally wouldnt have this done at a dealer...simple job of drilling rivets and sticking on new ali...why pay £75/hour+ for that?

I guess it would take a dealer 10 hours..

If you want new floor panels drop me a pm. Will save you a bundle..

i was quite fortunate to be able to use a ramp at mitsi garage close to me.they did say they would do the same with a small service for circa 600 pounds.and if you can provide the 10mm silione hose they will replace that also.if you need details let me know

Whilst you are there liberaly apply some waxoyl or equivalent into the chassis members via the screw holes. Mild steel + aluminium + whatever the screws are mode of + salt + water + heat = rust.

My garage did it and changed hoses, waxoyled etc and then put in stainless steel screws (575 of them). Dont think the bill will make pretty reading.

my m12 gto is at kerridges as we speak getting the 2 front floor panels done amongst a long list of other stuff. the original quote for just the front panel remove and reseal was £300 but they called me to say the one next to it needs doing as well and did not mention the additional cost. my carpets are saturated so had to be done. i'll let you know what the bill was as soon as i pick it up tomorrow morning.

also getting front manifold refurbed (technically knackered but they cant get a new one for weeks so they are fixing it up) plus gasket in rear manifold. something is wrong with one turbo, suspention settings are all wonky, one lamda sensor is mis threaded?!? the other has completley melted so they are both being replaced....

oh and it's supposed to snow tomorrow when i pick it up 200 miles away!!! wish me luck ha ha.

damn car..
