every time i turn my steering on full lock it squels like a pig!! its worse when cold, iv held it on lock and you can watch the pump stop dead, (the pully) i have cheaked the belt ten and that looks ok, so was woundering if it is a common problem?

Have you checked the fluid level, sounds like air in fluid due to a leak?

I always silcon spray the belt as a first resort when this happens.

There is no leaks and the fluid is just under max, im not sure the silcone on the belt will help as the pully stops dead as you put it on full lock, and its the belt running over the pully makeing the noise i may try and get vid of it to show you, it may make it less noisey tho. i dont see why it should stop the power steering pump?

Are you saying if you put the steering on the bump stops the pump etc complains?

yes i dont mean holding it on lock i only have to turn it to just before and it starts squealing, when its cold it is realy noisey and geting it out garage make a right racket, im not sure what fluid it has in it, i may try dectrose 3, see if that helps?
