Hi Guys

Basically I'm looking to buy a new (second) motor in the next few months. Just got rid of my 348 and fancy something a bit different.

Main concern is this - im going on a eurotour in June, took the 348 last year and never had any problems. If I took a noble it would be doing about 3k miles in 8-9 days and be driven pretty hard.

I've heard from several people that they aren't particularly reliable but in the opinion of current or past noble owners do you think it would be ok? Or is it likely to go pop after 500 miles?

I would be looking to buy an M12 around £25k

Any advice much appreciated!

The noble is a great car and for most on hear would say they hav not had to many probs, tho iv have problem after problem, it has broken down so many times, lucky im a tec and that i could find and sort the problems, or it would have cost me 1000s

I wouldnt trust mine, and im getting very tired of it at time, i have a 400bhp escort cosworth witch gets driven hard and is faster in yet that has never let me down, tho every time i fix the car i say im gunna sell it untill i take it for a drive and all the problems seem to go out the door!!

i can only comment on mine, hope this helps!!!

My M400 has been faultless in 16000 miles. Just the usual damp carpet and dodgy exhaust bracket which I'll be sorting shortly.

People, please don't compare your hatchbacks to a Noble, even if it is tuned to an unreasonable level.shootrolleyeslaugh Sorry, thought I was on another forum then.

If you are in a position to buy a noble get one, if only for a year.

If you take your time to find a good one you shouldn't have any probs. Hmm, I know where you can find one of those, lol. I am selling mine and it's in the classifieds. Some of the early cars (With 5spd and no LSD) suffered transmission probs. So best to look for one that has been sorted all ready as its an engine out job. Other than that no probs in nearly 3 years.

yer you right i shouldnt compare my hatchback to my noble, as the cossy is half the price and outperforms the noble in everyway except handling, tho in the wet or even damp the noble wont get close, maybe i need the m400, but i didnt have the pennys at the time, maybe one daysmile

I did a Eurohoon in mine a few months after I got it, about 3k miles in 2 weeks in the hotest of hot weather and it was 100% the whole time... Ive done 10k miles in the last 7 mths and its always been on the road.
I use mine everyday as its my main car..... and i trust it completely but then i may just be lucky.... I paid less than 25k for my 03 car and it was very low mileage.
