Can you help? Ive a 2004 3R and i have recently noticed a noise coming from what i thought was the water pump drive pully wheel bearing. I sprayed some servce spray onto the drive point of the water pump and it stopped. I removed the belt and manualy tested the pump(by turning by hand) and the pump seems fine. The sound once the engine is warm sounds like a dry bearing, the belt i took off seemed in good condition, the car has done 12000 miles with full service. Do you guys think its the belt or pump or somthing else??? My other question is on the dash below the foglight switch and to the right i have another swithch that looks the same, any idea what its for????!!!! Many thanks Paul

Try lightly greasing the belt and the switch is a spare.

AFAIR the design was going to include a 2-setting boost and that switch was planned to be one of the settings. It does nothing and it is so difficult to get the panel off and on again that it's best left alone.
