Tyre pressure for eagle f1s
Discussion
Can anyone tell me what the correct tyre pressure for eagle f1s on a 3r?I read previous thread 'back to basics' where it was suggested you should have around 18 at the front and 27 at the back on SO3s
Just checked mine which has just been treated to a full set of eagle f1 assymetrics and.....
34 at the back 31 at the front

Ive let them down to the suggested pressure for the SO3s but the fronts look a bit soft.
Any advice much appreciated
Internal construction details and rubber compounds can vary quite a lot among tire (aka tyre) manufactures so there is no reason at all to assume the recommended pressures for the S03s will be appropriate for the f1s. Some experimentation with pressures is therefore in order, but before you do that, make sure that the geometry settings on the car are correct. Toe and camber are especially important relative to turn-in and the general "feel" of the car. Of course, geometry also significantly affects gross under/over steer tendencies.
i used to work in tyre sales and although i can't claim to be an expert on the right pressure for the car i can assure you that what ever the correct pressure is it wont change between brands only different sizes, well with standard road tyres anyway which these both are even if top end. I have f1's at 19/27 and they feel perfect. The rule of thumb is increase pressure by 2 for every inch bigger you go. If i theoretically put 19's on my noble, to get an identical "feel" the pressures should be 21/29. It is a matter of preferance but i do feel noble would have extensivly tested different pressures and then advised of the best in the manual.
