Leaky floor

Hi Noblers, what's the best way to go forward with stopping the leaky floor syndrome without blowing the bank, and any idea what it should cost

Take out the seats (as it makes it easier) lift the carpet and using silicone seal the inside. Job done.

About right if the job is done properly - floor panels removed, chassis cleaned, waxed and panels replaced with large headed rivets. Very messy and time consuming job -about 10 hours labour for both sides

When we did mine a while back, we took off all the panels, re-sealed them with mastic and replaced all the rivets for screws. You're lookinh at aboiut 6 hours plus the materials, so about £300.00 plus parts, say £400 tops!

I'm not defending it, just telling it like it is. Most main stealers charge around £75 an hour and will take longer than doing the job yourself. Pays yer money and takes yer choice.

Take the floor off and do the work then seal & re rivet. If you're at all handy (I'm not) then you will find it an easy job. I wouldn't do it from the inside as you'll leave behind lots of wet steel and probably rip the sealant off next time you push hard on the floor

IMHO You have spent all this cash on an awesome machine dont cut corners on something like this as it will bite you or the next owner in the bum! on the other hand dont pay a grand! I suppose im lucky in this dept and like some others on here I do all my own work. Somewhere near you must be well trusted to do the job at a more reasonable price! Gar.
