Some time ago Mr Cundy put a post up about engines available from the US quite cheap (well it was before the crunch). I've tried searching and going through posts but I can't find it.

Can anyone help.

Yeah, they did some 'maintenance' a month or two ago and a lot of the older posts have gone (or are just not showing up) that I've since searched for.

AER make the engines

you can buy them complete

however they run a higher cr over there so you will need a remap, I asked for a lower cr and they declined

they were a total bargain before the £ crashed

Dear All,
Yes they were dirt cheap, cost me just over £3,000 delivered to my door. I had mine stripped and rebuilt before it was tuned.

The Idea of wanting to find them is to get a cost for shipping to here or Oz. If its so much more to get it to Oz then I may buy and take it with me.

A second hand Engine maybe another Option that I can gradually get ready while out there.

Can you PM me what you may want for the Whole engine?

Cheers Mike, I'll search for them.

Found them. Paul are these the people you were on about as I'm sure you posted a link to their site with pictures of the 3ltr with the 2.5 manifold etc. But the AER site I was on doesn't have a lot of deatail?

Could I not just get a Mondeo 2nd hand V6 and get it rebuilt over time?

What issues would I need to worry about?

I know this has been asked previously, but are there any serious alternative engine options?

Not affordable ones.
Nor gearboxes.

As in not using the 2.5/3.0 V6 with twin turbo's? No's the answer.

Everything - I remember having a chat with Yellowshed on this but can't remember the details. Mainly oil routing IIRC.

Hi Kev,

Any idea how much you want for your 2.5 engine?

Might bea better idea to take that with me and as you say just drop it in if mine goes.

Cheers
