Oil catch tank ??

my breather oil catch tank is full of crap and i need to replace it with a alloy one ,can anyone recommened one ?

Proally do a kit, should be on Noble parts, ask for Wayne

Has anyone got a photo of it installed ?? do they have a return to the sump ??

I believe they have a return to the sump like the standard one, but they do not return into the front turbo inlet pipe like the standard one does. They have a filter and vent to the atmosphere.
I'm looking at replacing mine at some point also.

mine returns straight into the sump but thats the bit i,m not happy with !! would prefer to fit a tank with a level indicator so i can empty it if it is full .

Proalloy oil tank and pipework with IC, but with Turbohoses water header tank.

It does drain back into the sump. Not sure about how it links to the atmosphere as I didn't fit it, but I know I never emptyit and it has never caused any issues. Not much help.

It doesn't go to atmosphere you can see the return pipe going to the front turbo

It back into the induction pipe for the front turbo this is normal,but you can vent it to atmosphere with a filter on top of the pot

Normal ? To contaminate your induction system... not in my world it's not.... mine goes out of the bottom of the car via a good oil seperator tank and maybe helps to prolong the life of the front turbo.

I too am not kean on it venting into turbo pipe !!

Yes maybe on an engine with good baffling to stop the oil from the sump coming up through the breather / return and into your turbo and air filter, but definately not needed when out on track

I recently fitted this to my 2.5 and it works a treat. No more oil-laden air entering the inlet tract and no rust falling in the sump!

The bracket is even drilled with the correctly space holes for mounting.

Unfortunately, the bracket is in the wromg place for the 2.5 and the oil return tail is a different size to the sump tail. I guess that as it was designed for the 3-litre cars it probably fits them but I've had to mod it to fit mine. Still, it's well worth it.
