Locked out

My GT03 has been locked away for 3 months as I can't get it past the scaffolding round my house and when I checked it last night the battery was flat. The car is locked, and with no battery the central locking won't open the doors, so I'm locked out!

Is the only way to sort this, to jack up the rear and remove the undertray to get at the battery, or is there another solution?

There is a way in, but why can't you just lift the clam and charge the battery?

I thought I remembered reading that the battery was only accessible from underneath hence my question. I've never had to look for it before!

The battery can only be removed from underneath. But you can get to it to charge it from above.

As long as you can get the clam up just charge the battery, easy to do from above with the driver side inner arch removed.

Should he stand by to silence the alarm when the power returns, if the car thinks its locked/immobilised, and the clam is open?

I would not do any harm to disconnect the battery leads before you charge it. The reason is that it's possible to blow one of the fuses in the rear of the car if you leave it connected and use charger over a certain ampage ( not that I can remember what the figure is ).
