fuel pump wireing upgrade

Well another job done ,thanks to Gary for the advice i have fitted a new relay and thicker cable to supply the pump ,using the std cable to just switch the relay and power from the starter supply .

Hope you have put a fuse in the power line close to the starter motor as it goes directly to the battery so if you get any problems the fuse will blow , not the cable go up in smoke or worse ?

If you haven't, you need to do it ASAP as Steve says, any short in the wire will result in a fire.

HI, bought a bosch 044 and systec filter, but no idea where to onstall it, any help on the wiring too, is there a guide anywhere, its for a 2004 3r, thanks, allan

I've seen a quoted maximum of 15.5 amps draw @ 5 bar (or 72.5 psi, 200 LPH) I would think 20amp sufficient.

Thanks F C 20 amp it is then . alan pump is located in passenger side pod with filter would advise fitting it were the old one is ,use the existing supply to switch the relay with a new fused supply from starter motor.
