Mine's a small Firemaster brand (comes in colours so can match your interior) fittted into its supplied clip to the floor crossways in front of the passenger seat - just in front of the chassis rail. Doesn't get in the way of passenger's legs or bother them. Fit button end towards driver for obvious reasons.
Not really there for an engine fire (why open 4 clam clips to feed the fire with oxygen anyway - better scarper instead!) but rather a cockpit fire (unlikely as it may be).

mine is a hard piped system bottle and electronics fitted in position behind where passanger seat is below cross section of my roll cage on floor making it not in way at all with arm button now mounted above interior in centre console with a spray head behind dash area and nr stearing column also 2 sprays into engine bay front and rear of engine also sprayer under front clam and arm button on exterior of car with in line fuse to stop miss use this may give you some ideas
