she is not starting

Hi Guys

I started her up this morning and she started first time (not been driven in 3 weeks)
I then washed the car went to take it out for a drive and it now wont start.
I can hear the full pump go when you turn the key but when I go to start it there is nothing accept fast clicking noise which im guessing is a relay or something.
any ideas what I should try? do you think its the starter motor

im not the most technical so not sure what to do first?

If the battery isnt flat, I would suggest you have soaked the fuses and relays in the engine bay behind the drivers seat. where in Essex are you?

Ok cheers, i will try the jump leads as the battery has gone flat before.
im in billericay.

i thought it wasnt the bat to start with as the alarm works and the sterio is fine.

let me try jumping it now.

was the battery, think i will go buy a trickle charger now if not a new battery.

The clicking is the started solenoid engaging and disengaging. When the battery is not completely flat it has enough power to engage the solenoid, then as soon as the started motor tries to turn the engine you get a power drain which pulls the battery current down and the solenoid disengages, then the whole cycle starts again. That's why you get a clicking sound.

I'd get a new battery if i were you.....they don't like going flat!
