Should I be concerned?

When I've not used the car for a couple of days when its been wet, the front calipers appear to lock up slightly. When I reverse the car out of the garage there is a slight resistance then 'clonk' all is well. Then no more worries until next time I'm caught in the rain. Do I need to be concerned about this and is there anything I could or should do to stop it? Thinking caps on please!

You sure its the fronts? my rears stick if i apply the handbrake for a length of time, solved by NOT applying handbrake when garaged for a period.

Very common "problem" on cars put away "wet" and not anything at all to worry about.
Sticking is just the result of slight corrosion temporarily "bonding" the pad and disc as the car sits when there is moisture in that area.
Effect can be reduced somewhat by applying light brake pressure for a few 10s of feet of rolling before stopping the car entirely.

I have on one occasion reversed out of my garage dragging the left front wheel!

Cracked itself free after a bit of shunting about. No harm done.

Mine does that so I never leave the handbrake on, just in gear, when it's in my garage. I also try and take it for a quick spin after I've washed it to dry the brakes off.

Thanks for the info. Didn't think it was anything to worry about, but wise to check when it comes to brakes. Talking of which, got my local mechanic to adjust the handbrake and its still useless. Is this common to Nobles? I don't remember it being that bad when I bougt it a couple of years ago.

Mine where just the same and I solved it (as recommended by others) by not applying the handbrake. One other point is it is best not to use handbrake after the car has been driven hard and the discs are hot. As far as handbrake efficiency mine works fine, sometimes it will need a few extra clicks one steeper gradients

All my cars do this... I once did a durnout trying to drag the cossie out the garage as that had stupid size brakes on the front and skinny (215) tyres on the rear lol

the only cure is to not allow the brakes to get wet before putting away... I also never put the handbrake on in the garage
