Out for a drive yesterday I noticed the battery light flickering on once in a while. This was happening when de-accelerating, only for a few seconds. Is it anything to worry about??

Thanks

Could be a failing alternator - could just as easily be a slipping belt (maybe due to a loose or broken alt. mounting.) Suggest you check the latter first.

Best to check the wiring from the alternator. Also check the battery, I had one melt!!
The single thin wire ( with the gray plug) is the one that controls the dash light. The wiring in that area can melt and short (close to the front cat) if the heat shielding has come astray.

Kind of, my brother-in-law is a "grease-monkey", so he was going to have a look, but the more info I can get for him the better smile
