Chips Away

After a run to Ipswich today have come back to find a nice chip just blow grill on the front.

Does anyone hae any experience with ChipsAway or any other on the Noble?

anyone with an airbrush in that sort of area would be able to deal with that no problem at all.there are many curves to lose an edge down there so for chips away and the likes as said is an easy repair.think they charge around 30 to 40 pounds for that sort of damage

They work OK on some colours but, alas, not silvers. Beware of 2-pack paint finishes too as they find it challenging getting the laquer topcoat correct.

Quite correct that touch-ins on silvers (or any high-particulate paint) are much more limited in terms of cosmetic improvement. A sprayed repair is the only way to achieve fully even metallic flake laydown. Depending on the exact profile of the panel where the chip has happened, this may be possible without a full panel respray.

I think you may be confusing two-pack with two-stage? Two pack paints are catalysed, two stage paint systems are clearcoat over basecoat. All modern paint finishes are (Two-pack!) lacquer over waterborne basecoat. The ChipsAway paint system is no different.

like i said.i believe where the damage is its a good location for a smart repair.if it had been in the middle of a door then i would have said no chance

We do repairs where the damage is in the middle of silver door week in, week out. The blend zone is larger, but to an experienced repairer, they're completely achievable.

Just don't pick a Chips Away guy out the yellow pages. As said above a GOOD repairer can work miracles. Chips is just a franchise with limited painting experience needed. You need a recommendation for where you live in my opinion.
