Exige S to M12 GTO 3R

Hi guys im going to look at a Noble next weekend, i've had my Exige about a year now but still have the urge to try the Noble, the car mainly gets used on a weekend so i can handle the extra costs on fuel etc. Has anybody made the move from Exige to Noble? i dont really know a great deal about known problems with the Nobles so any help would be appreciated.
I went from an Elise to an Exige S1 to a Noble.
The Noble was a faster easier drive than the Exige - in that I mean the setup of the Exige was all or nothing - you would have loads of grip and then it would go in one foul swoop! The Noble would scream at you with feed back to coin a phrase.
IMO both cars have a basic interior but I think the Exige was better made - aluminium chassis vs steel, running costs are certainly lower on the lotus too.

ps I am thinking of getting another Elise when I have the cash.....

Yup! I went to a 240S from an f430 from a M400.
Horses for courses.
I loved the Noble for it's shear pace and compliance the Exige is a bone shaker compared in ride terms.
I had the uprights machined for camber and a slightly more aggresive geo done on my M400.
The Exige has been treated to a geo and I think the Exige is a slightly better handling car.
I'd buy another sorted M400 if I could find a low mileage example.

my elise was a 160 bhp conversion and to be honest i was bored by the power by the end of day one !
you had to wring it kneck to get it to go and this meant you would drive it on the edge more just to get it to move
it was a lot of fun with the top down banging off the limiter and tearing about in the sunshine
but its a very different driving experience in my opinion

Heres my 2 pennyworth.
I changed from a series 2 exige in Jan this year to a GTO-3. I always looked at the Nob as a grown up version of the exige, bigger, more comfortable and more power.
The Nob does seem to be more fragile than the exige, the Toyota engine is fantastic for the car it is in particularly above that 6000RPM, but the Nob pulls like the exige does but all the time, engine is very flexible as well being a V6.
I still also have a series 1 elise and if I want a sunday morning blast round the lanes then I would probably take that as it is like a go kart.
Would I go back to an Exige???? difficult, I would if I had to get a cheaper running car but it would have to be a cup 240 or similar.

I love the Exige its a cracking car but the amount i use it i may as well buy something a bit more daft

Yes I dont understand the insurance thing, seems very weird considering the performance difference, the other thing you really notice between Exige / Noble is motorway driving. As you probably know its very frantic in the Exige but the Nob is soooo good at cruising....love it
All you really need to do is go and drive one, frighten yourself a couple of times and your hooked, I looked at a 911 turbo when I was looking, very well built car and very capable but if you want to mess your underwear, go for the nob
