Cold Cough

In the last couple of days my car (2004 3R with 9K miles) has developed a little hesitancy when cold.

The engine seems to choke a little between 2-3K revs; quite subtle and no accompanying noises - just seems to suffer a momentary (fraction of a second) loss of power.

Seems fine at idle and as soon as the turbos start to spin-up, and the effect fades as the engine warms.

It "feels" like it's a fuel problem but I really don't know - would a fuel issue behave the same way in relation to temperature?

So where should I look first? Fuel filter? What else?

Anyone had a similar symptom?

Mine had the ocasional cough, fuel pump mod solved this for me.

Try cleaning and regapping the spark plugs to either 33 or 35 thousands

Thanks guys... I'll post back with whatever I find.

Car has been running perfectly up to now, although has done more miles in the past two weeks than the previous year! I'll start with the plugs and fuel filter and go from there.
