Headlights not working
Discussion
Hi All,
Bit of help needed.
Just found that the headlights (main and dip beam) are not working (side lights are fine)
Any tips of what to check 1st? It's a 2004 GTO-3R
Also noticed the "main beam" panel illumination light is not lit up on main beam either.
Have looked at the fuse/relay box. Fuses seem fine. One slight issue is in the manual the relay box shows 3 rows of 4 relays. On my car there's 4 rows of 4 relays.... the top 2 on the left are empty.... So not sure which are the light relays.
Just wondering if it may be a common issue??
Any help/advice much appreciated
Will

Thanks Steve,
There's 1 main row of fuses. Ones relating to the lights seem to be:-
3. L/S Dip Beam
4. R/S Dip Beam
5. L/S Main Beam
6. R/S Main Beam
Could someone who has access to their Noble do me a favour....
Could you have a look at your fuse/relay box and see if the top left 2 relay spaces in the relay box have relays in them or are empty?
As on my above post, my relay box seems to be 4 x 4 and not 3 x 3, as in the manual and has 2 empty positions (top left).
The 2 empty positions may corispond with the hi/low beam relays.
I could be completely wrong...!

SORTED!
"The Devil" I owe you a BIG beer!
Yep, that was the issue, wasn't disarming the alarm properly.
Stuck the r/hand relay in each position and hey presto, working lights.
As for the missing relays....
Well the car has been at the TVR Centre in Barnet for the last 4+ months on sale or return.
I can only guess that they probably 'borrowed' the relays to fix another Noble and didn't replace them.
They did mention that they were re-building another Noble and had been using it as reference.....
I bought the car direct from the owner at the weekend, but collected it from the TVR Centre

Oh well, at least now I can get the Mot done this week.
Thanks a million again

You've bought the black one havent you with the long range tanks etc? that is a very well sorted car. I went out for a spin in it in January and it is nice, lots of extra goodies on it. it was up for £33000 for a long time.
I think the owner was going to buy a Farbio from them once he sold it.
Anyway, if you are that local lets have that beer down the Ace Cafe some time. (third wednesday of each month)
