You're in luck. Im booked in with yellowshed (Trevor Jasper) for a remap to my 2.5 on the 17th June (google track and road, essex). he mapped the cars in the first place for Noble so he should know what he's doing. comments from other members on here who have been to him previously are very good. price depends on what you need done so i'll leave that bit to him.

i'll let you know how i get on.

My GTO3 needs a remap after it's new exhaust. Am I right in thinking that it has the MBE ECU?

How ya getting on with that exhaust Bernie,

Whats the sound like compared to standard?

I must say that I'm tempted and I really like the look of them manifolds.

Ay up Matty,

Exhaust / manifolds all fitted, corroded chassis replaced. Like most folk, I haven't got bottomless pockets but I had no option but to go for it. I couldn't hang around any longer waiting for a group buy from H + S or Urban Racing. I believe I've now got a quality bit of kit that will last as long as the car. Noise from the exhaust is pretty much as before but without the embarrasing tinkling from bksed cats / silencer. I discussed what I wanted with Leon @ Alunox: (i)an exhaust / manifold set up that would last and(ii)I wasn't desperate for more BHP.

I've now got to get the ECU remapped because it seems to be running a bit rich judging by fuel consumption. I'll post details of before and after once that's sorted.

The car's just having diffuser / floor pan under engine refitted and service carried out before I point it in the direction of Yellow Shed or some other competent person to carry out the remap.

The purchase of a complete new exhaust is to be expected of a near 7 year old car: the unexpected need to replace a huge chunk of chassis was a bit of a bummer. I have to balance that with the fact that in over five years of ownership, I've only bought tyres and had a couple of services.

Will post more when this saga is over.

Cheers,

Had my 3 remapped last week and very happy with the results at Area 52. Just told Mike what I wanted and got exactly what I asked for, pretty certain he could do the same on a 2.5 provided it is MBE ECU.

I'm on my hols at the moment, so don't have all the stuff with me. I was only getting just over 300 BHP when it was dynoed on the dyno day, so asked for it to be put back at the factory figures of circa 350 BHP/350 lb/ft. In reality this seems to be about 20 BHP up on actual figures for the standard car as witnessed on the RR day. If I had been running the 6 speed box, or a strengthed 5 speed/diff then I would have gone the whole hog and gone to the circa 420bhp that appears to be available without any substantial mods.
I'll post the graphs when I'm back if you are interested. (Mike - if you read this feel free to post them or mail to me and I will post.)
Cheers,
Rob.

Its behind the wheel trim in front of the rear drivers side wheel.

Take the panel off to be sure, but the MBU's have a black cable with a 9 pin plug which is normally visible over the driver's side wheel arch.
Cheers,
Rob.

saw yellowshed on the 17th, car (2.5) was running at 314BHP and way down on torque. he sorted the mapping and got is back to the original 340BHP and normal torque but my precats are blocked and clogging up the system. apparently boost is 1000RPM late. it doesn't matter anyway as i really broke it the next day something in the front turbo/manifold area (for a damn change!). it was weak anyway and needed some attention and i felt the need to test it after the mapping lol.

anyway ive spoken to matt at jetstream and hopefully it'll be in there soon for a full once over to get the blasted thing sorted once and for all.

For anyone thinking of visiting Yellowshed (Trevor Jasper) and Track and Road then they get the big thumbs up from me.
