Balancing GTO-3 wheels

Can anyone tell me if the threaded centre part of the wheel knocks out?

I've just had the wheels re-furbed & new tyres fitted and the fitter didn't want to get medieval on removing the centres to get them on the balancing machine.

Yeah it does, when I had mine done the guy had to use a wooden mallet to knock them out.
