Insurance...someone needs to explain this one !!
Discussion
Read the post about cheap Admiral insurance so went on to have a look and yes.....single car policy for £343 (about £80 cheaper than current!)......however, I then added my partner to see how much extra....and the policy dropped to £273 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now they may be prepared to insure her......but there is not a chance in hell I would let her drive (thankfully she doesn't want to either...too noisy / too low / too fast etc...but !!!!

Exactly the same happened to me. when i first had my noble 3r, i was 33 but with no no-claims (had company cars since i was 21). Best i could get was £1300. Put the Missus on...older wiser and more experienced (yeah....right) and hey presto £880. There is more chance of hell freezing over than her driving, but as far as the insurance company are concerned, having a more experienced, older driver on the policy who MAY drive it reduces the risk.....i did this for the next 2 years. Definatley worth doing if you are young(ish) or dont have much no claims. Now they may be prepared to insure her......but there is not a chance in hell I would let her drive (thankfully she doesn't want to either...too noisy / too low / too fast etc...but !!!!
I brought my M400 this February, i'm 28, full NCB, 0 points and the best quote i could get was £1600 (which i took). I then noticed a post on here about Admirial so i thought i'd take a look, boy was i in for a shock!!
Total cost, including my other car (BMW 330ci) was just over a thousand, £475 of that was the beemer! A bargain to say the least. Def worth a look.
