Oil warning light on.......help !!

Been out in the car today and right out the blue the red oil warning light has come on !!!! st !!! , any guesses , engine has oil in it and it appears to be in good health .......wonder if its a wire come off ??

If you have oil and oil pressure, the sender wire is touching the exhaust down pipe.

Friend had same, but intermit prob and of course it came on all time on track day, just to keep him worried - like you no sign of low or oil probs. Found it was touching on hot part of engine and taped it up temp and then rerouted. Im on [e-mail] if you want to send ur email or tel number i will pass it on for you. Sue

Thanks Sue , going to finish it off today as you and Adrian have suggested it was a heat verses wireing issue !!!

Yep ...was pretty relieved !!! unfortunately i think my car was wired by a drunk blind man with no arms !!!
