M400 side air intake scoops

Hi, Not 100% sure but if you contcact suekinrade@manx.net with ur email or tel number my friend has M400 where he increased bhp and had these fitted. Does track days and sprints and has a wealth of contacts and info. The expert people we use in uk is John Noble motorsport (no relation to Noble name) theya are in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, SueAnyone know if these are available any where?

2 main areas need work - bodywork inside the pods needs removing/modifying (see Hoover's thread on nobleforums.com for pics) and side repeater panels need modifying to allow air to exit out of front wheelarches close to sides of car.And some improvements to the rear clam to allow air to exit will help too.

I know nothing about the actual data collected form the noble being in a wind tunnel and im no aero expert, but i have spent a lot of time considering this for my own design of car as mine is also mid engined and im using scoops in the same place.... mine goes much further tho as these scoops feed air to my radiators and intercoolers (1 each side of the car) hence it was more than just important to get this right on mine.
Bascially the first critical thing is to ensure air can escape, you can have the largest scoop in the world right in the air flow but at a set speed it could become a solid barrier and no air will go in at all... the rear of the car is not a good exit as the air is usually turbulent, you really need air to be sucked out.
The vents I saw on Adrian car are in the wheel arch which is mostly closed off from the engine bay so im not actually sure if these provide extra airflow through the engine bay or if they are done to reduce pressure in the wheelarch?
Also you have to carefully consider the state of the air that will enter the scoop, turbulent air is no good as you could end up with very little actually going in, for mine I had to redesign the front wheel arch completely to prevent turbulent air rolling down the side of the car.
Must admit Id love to know more about how the noble performed in the tunnel, its all very well talking about theroy etc, but few actually have and thus spend the cash to actually find out whats really happeneing.
