gearbox sorted

Got re-cond box in with lsd last week,so im well pleased. took out box in my garage by cutting cross member out and had some slip collers with solid inserts made up so it bolts up nice tight and true.work was done by road and race transmissions in shoreham in kent.total cost £862.50. be happy to give advice on taking box out as its not as easy as it first seems

Just had lsd put in and new seals and bearings,as you know the standard diff on the m12 is the weak point

Can anyone advise how to tell if a car has an LSD?
With a normal diff, if you jack the car off the ground and spin one rear wheel, the other wheel goes the opposite way, but what is the reaction you should look for if an LSD is fitted?

This is something i would like to know the answer to also, i think with a LSD the opposite wheel would still turn in opp direction at low speeds, (like jacking car up and turning wheel by hand) only under power and one wheel loosing traction it would then kick in and turn both wheels in same direction. I'm no expert but just how i see it.

Lots of revs, dump the clutch...a #11 on the road = lsd

Nope, even with an ATB diff they'll turn in the same direction as there's sufficient friction on the pinions.

It's degrees of slip rather than a total direction change as with an open diff.
