stuck in 5th gear

help my 03 gto3 is stuck in 5th did it while driving it was very stiff was able to gey it out of the selecter but it was still in gear heard a clunk from the rear got it back home now cant get it out of 5 at all any sugestions please? thanks

Linkage detached, rose joint seized? Linkage teleflex cable snapped?

Yes, surely the linkage. Have you looked at the the mechanism where the cable meets the H-piece on top of the gearbox - does it look intact and well?

At least with 350 clarkson torques you should be able to pull away in 5th to get you home.

surely that would suggest a broken selector fork

disconnect the cable and see if the gearknob is still stiff

Has the gearchange always been stiff ?? should be able to see gear rod ends move if you wobble the gear lever .....................if all still connected i,m with Adrian broken selector fork .

it seemes to be something to do with the selector on top of the gearbox nothing broken its at bruntingthorp now dave is toying with it everthing is working just not in 5th wen all put together ?????

well now fixed gearbox was caput fith gear done thanks too matt at brutingthorp jetstream i got a new gearbox from the factory and lsd cluch re spray the nose cone and aloys painted black all for £2100 beat that now is jetstreem the best or what ?

he removed the engine he dont like the cutting the bar way he has dave from the factory that worked on the nobles helping him so they know everthing about them
