I`ve found Lee Noble

Chatting to Lee`s dad`s mate last week and he reckons Lee has a newly
designed car almost ready to go, doesn`t know what to name it apparently !
I bought my first M12 a couple of years ago from father-in-law, build no. 11,but had full M400 transplant in 2004. I`ve recently sold that to a mate to make way for 'Biggriffs' 3R (lovely specimen) but might be interested in Lee`s new baby if its any good- surely it`ll be something special!Anyway,Lee was asked yesterday if i could contact him and he`s passed his tel number on to me, so i`ll give him a call. He only lives a few miles away, i wonder if he`ll let me see it ?!

Lee Noble is a bit dodgy imho.
Thought he did a runner any way with Dysons money.
plus he drives a Porsche which does not say much for his cars lol
And when I went to visit the factory , most cars in the car park were older 911's no Nobles to be seem.
Started Ultima did a runner.
started Noble did a runner.
always wanted a Noble, but when I asked a engineer at Noble about them he said
wtf do you want one of these for lol
They then shiped out the build to S\A and they came back so out of spec it was funny.
Any Factory repairs come back covered in saning dust.
Then sold the rights of the car to the USA who seems to make a much better one and better looking called the Rossion. (not seen/heard much about that though)
Sort of put me off owning one after all that.

Spoke to Lee this afternoon and arranged to see him next weekend hopefully.New car is nearer M12 than overpriced M600 ( his words ), with V8 and `bulletproof` gearbox ! Imagine next generation M12, perhaps modern Ultima, that`s more advanced in mechanics with a cost between an Ultima and original Noble. He`s convinced the performance will be staggering ,so i suppose we`ll have to just wait and see.Should be available within the next few months.Roll on next week!

- Lee Noble has always openly admitted that, like many talented design engineers, he kinda looses interest in a project once it's up and running. The daily grind of production engineering just doesn't appeal to some people...
- He's smart enough to recognise that there's no money in manufacturing niche performance cars (ask Nicolai Smolenski
). There is, however, a good profit to be had in coming up with a successful and competent design, then selling it on to a foolish optimist who fancies themselves as the next Henry Ford...
He's not alone, either: Jeremy Phillips (Sylva) uses the same approach and has developed then sold off even more projects than Lee Noble over the years, for similar reasons.

It's quite simple really, Nobles are the best drivers cars imaginable and make your (and my) Porsche feel bloated and lethargic with steering more akin to something large and yellow that belongs on a building site!
As for repairs and maintenance, I always used the TVR Centre in Barnet and have nothing but the highest praise for their levels of professionalism and friendliness and knowledge of their products, something I have found very hard to find within the Porsche and BMW franchises of this country over the years.

TeeHee - I can understand the sentiment but it is actually a pretty good car. I've spent a lot of money turning it into an even better one (which means that the lucky person who buys it will get all the benefits) but I miss my Noble desperately and all the excitement that goes with it.
If and when I sell the Cayman and buy another Noble though, I'm sure I'll miss the bullet proof engineering, the creature comforts and things such as the practicality of 2 boots and great fuel economy that make the Porsche such a fine every day car.

I must admit that it was a bit of a novelty being able to buy more than a packet of screws at B&Q and still drive home in comfort. Now if only Lee could combine the strengths of the two cars into one whilst keeping it in the same price bracket, he'd be onto a guaranteed winner! Mike Tuckwood said:
