Did mine this morning. Took 30 mins to do the 2 vents. I just used a sander/flapper wheel in an electric drill. I grabbed the centre of the old vent and just pulled it out. Then I removed the three screws from the vent and took that piece off of the dashboard. I removed the tywraps that were holding the hose to the last part of the old vent and filled the hole in the dash with a sponge, to minimise the dust spreading.

I used a set of callipers to measure the Audi vents diameter. Then I sanded out the hole in the dash, whilst running the dyson next to the drill head. Result no dust! Once I had achieved the diameter required I connected the hose to the rear of the Audi vent (Tywrap-Cable Tie), ensuring correct orientation of the vent and pushed it into place. To make the drivers side easier for access, I removed the six allen screws and detached the steering wheel (not essential). Job done.
