Urban racing exhaust

Has anyone got any feedback about the exhaust on offer from urban Racing.That is anyone with first hand experiance.Because i've got my gto booked in there for the exhaust pictured on prev thread but was told that there is no need for a remap as this is just a bolt on. But would i benifit more from having a remap after fitting or is wasting money?

Before commiting to urbans exhast i spoke to jnm as they upgraded my ecu for me last year. And they say that their exhaust could take a 2.5 like mine to 370 hp. Also It actualy doesnt put any extra stess on the engine infact i'm told the opposite because the more free flowing exhaust lets gases out quicker therefore make it more efficient.but maybe this is just their sales pitch after all im no mechanic.steve

Certainly, an eficient exhaust design can reduce the losses in an engine, but i think not to that degree.Trevor remapped my 2.5 after my Roush exhaust was fitted. Stock boost, came out IIRC at 310BHP ish.

Ok then How many horses can you expect to lose between the fly wheel and the rear wheels? Is there a general formula for this loss or does it vary alot depending on the tramsmission etc. Now im just woundering when i got a remap at jnm was the hp measured at the f wheel?? 2.5bluenob said:

It was deffo an estimated flywheel figure you were given with (from my experience) questionable losses !

Just make sure you get before and after figures to make sure you are happy with the changes/investment and that the car runs well throughout the RPM range.
