Another failed MOT!
Discussion
Car failed MOT today on emissions and near side hand-brake 'recording little or no effort'.
Emissions failed both fast idle tests on lambda readings, CO & HC levels were fine.
Lambda limits 0.970-1.030
1st fast idle = 1.146
2nd fast idle = 1.144
Is this just the lambda sensors? Or could it be exhaust / manifold problems?? Car had not been out the garage for previous 3 months but gave it a good couple of hours run before the test.
Also front tyres are worn on the inside edge a lot more than rest of the tyre, plan on getting the laser alignment done for this, any other advice?
Thanks
Paul

Could be either/both. That much air is a lot of lean running. Quite likely to be both dead lambda sensors and cracked manifolds.Lambda limits 0.970-1.030

Before you get your emissions tested, give the car a good spanking to get the cats nice and hot.
I've had to do this pretty much every time it's been MOT by 'non noble' people.
The reason the tires wear this way is due to the camber. Perfectly normal.
